The patented SeaCell2 is a revolutionary new pallet wide, container from the designers of the Seacell
The SeaCell2 patented design provides an internal width of 2,426mm (compared to a standard container's 2,352mm), sufficient for two 1,200 mm wide pallets, to be loaded side by side with full clearance, including the door end, where there is no pallet damage due to "pinching". Importantly the SeaCell2 unique design allows it to be most palletwide containers cannot do.
Stacking pallets two-wide means 20% more pallets can be transported in each 40ft SeaCell2 container compared to a standard container.
A shipment of 10,000 Euro pallets (1,200 x 800mm) will only require 167 SeaCell2's rather than 200 standard 40ft containers - a saving of 33 containers.
In service the SeaCell2 has proved more cost-effective, stronger and less prone to damage than other palletwide containers.
Bamboo floors are fitted to SeaCell2 as standard, which saves the destruction of tropical forests. Compared to standard containers.
SeaCell2 reduces CO2 emissions per pallet by 20%, making the SeaCell2 a truly "earth friendly container".
